Reservation Policies

Due to chronic staffing shortages we can no longer operate a staffed Reception nor daily servicing and mid-stay cleans.  End of stay cleaning is charged as an extra fee for all bookings and on all booking sites, but does not include daily servicing.  Daily servicing and mid-stay cleans can be arranged but will be charged as an extra fee.

Self check-in is operating for all apartments.  Once full payment is received, we will email arrival information and an access code for your apartment.

Our cancellation policy is flexible - measures taken by governments to restrict travel for Covid-19 reasons will result in a full refund.

Cancellations for any other reason must be made at least 14 days in advance of the commencement date of the booking to be eligible for a refund with the following exceptions:

(i) The one night deposit is non-refundable if cancelled for bookings over any Gibbston Valley concert dates or local marathon events. 

(ii) The hotel requires fully paid reservations in advance, non refundable at any time, for Chinese New Year, China Golden Week, Easter, Christmas & New Year (22 December - 9 January). 

For bulk bookings (3 or more apartments) 50% of the booking value is payable at the time of booking and is non-refundable.

Separate non-refundable conditions apply to limited seasonal Specials, Packages and Offers. Please see the Offer for full details, which will be confirmed in our booking confirmation letter.

In the unlikely event of a no-show, our cancellation policy requires the full amount of the confirmed booking to be credited to Villa del Lago.

Please note that the minimum age for reservations in a 3 Bedroom Villa is 23 years and this hotel has a strict 'No Party Policy'.

Bond payments, where taken, are refunded within 7 days of check-out: 3 Bedroom Villa $500, 2 Bedroom Villa $400, 1 Bedroom Suite $200.
